AUSTRALIAN TROUT FOUNDATION

Everyone who fishes for trout in Australia should be a member of the ATF. This is the only organization of its kind in the country, solely dedicated to the preservation and betterment of our trout fishery, no matter what state.
For a measly $20/year, you can (should!) be a member.
Every cent of that money goes towards ensuring YOU have a trout fishery to go to, and that you can access the fish.
ATF Projects in 2012-13 include -

Replacing the fish barrier gates on Lake Fyans to stop trout escaping
Reclaiming the 14kms of walking track along the Howqua River
Same for the Jaimeson River
Working with Fisheries Victoria to instal fish barriers on Learys Ck, Marysville to protect and endangered Galaxid species
Working with ARI to protect another endangered Galaxid on Shaws Ck, above Licola.
An additional 10,000 Brown Trout stocked into Hepburn Lagoon

We need more people to get involved, there's always plenty to do!
If you'd like to put something back into the trout fishery that's given you so much pleasure and enjoyment, all you have to do is contact me, Rod Barford,  here at Flytrek Australia.
